"Temples of thought" it's all good on Wasow

A great post from It's All Good on Omar Wasow--co-founder of BlackPlanet.com. I love this..."bulk of Mr. Wasow's comments were about how libraries must move from a focus on information to one of transformation." And, once again, Pine & Gilmore pop up, "He applied the concepts laid out in The Experience Economy by Joseph Pine and James Gilmore to libraries, saying that we should pay as much attention to the experience our users have when they use our services as we do to the services themselves. 'The experience of being in a library can be as important as the information available,' he said. 'Part of the magic of libraries is the experience.'"
